Student Success & Engagement

Mayland Community College uses Watermark: Students Success & Engagement to improve student success. Watermark is an advising software that allows faculty and support staff to respond to student concerns earlier, offering coordinated support services so that students succeed personally and academically.

Watermark helps MCC respond more quickly when students show signs of risk by:

• Monitoring student performance and engagement
• flagging students who may need help
• helping advisors prioritize outreach
• tracking interventions and follow-up activities
• connecting students with resources and support services
• measuring the impact of advising and retention efforts, and
• assisting students with scheduling appointments and providing important reminders.

Students may receive automated emails from Watermark alerting them to their progress and important campus reminders.
