Scholarship

Available to Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey County residents. Continuing Education students may receive up to a $180 reimbursement on cost of registration, plus assistance with other costs when appropriate.

Scholarship

Available to Continuing Education students who are residents of Yancey County and show evidence of community service. Continuing education students may receive up to $500 to assist with registration fees, books, testing, or other associated costs.

GEER Scholarship

A part of the North Carolina’s COVID relief package, GEER provides money for classes that lead to a state or industry-recognized credential for in-demand careers. GEER pays for the registration fees, books, supplies, credentialing tests, and other related fees. All North Carolina residents are eligible. GEER is available through the end of August 2023.

Available to Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey residents and sponsored by the Toecane Beekeeper’s Association. Continuing education students wishing to enroll in any of the MCC Beekeeping classes are eligible to apply.

Scholarship

Scholarship is available to Yancey County residents enrolled in a workforce credentialing program. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, and books only. Preference will be given to students wishing to remain in the county after graduation.

Scholarship

Available to NC Residents. Continuing Education Students may receive up to $500 for workforce certification classes, plus funding for additional courses in a related pathway. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, testing, materials, or other associated costs.
