MCC Foundation Scholarships

Our goal is to make a quality education accessible to all students

The 23-24 Scholarship Application is open from Monday, March 27 - Friday, April 21, 2023

Awards are competitive, based on criteria established by the donors of each scholarship. The Mayland Community College Scholarship Committee, made up of MCC faculty and staff, reviews applications and selects recipients. The MCC Foundation awards scholarships without regard to race, creed, religion, color, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, or physical disability.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students must be enrolled at Mayland for a minimum of six (6) credit hours for each semester awarded.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident or other non-eligible citizen (per Title IV guidelines), a citizen of the Freely Associated States, or a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) designee.
  • Must complete and submit a Residency Determination Survey (RDS), MCC Application and 2021-2022 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the below listed deadline. For more information please visit MCC’s How to Apply page.
  • If requested in the scholarship application, please upload the most recent copy of your high school transcript (unofficial will suffice). If GED or HiSET recipient please see instructions in scholarship application.

Mayland Promise Scholarship

Scholarship for the Applied Engineering Associate Degree is available to High School Graduates who have successfully completed 16 credit hours of the College and Career Promise Program (CCP). The Mayland Promise will cover tuition and fees for the remainder (up to two years) of the Associate Degree in the Applied Engineering program with Mayland Community College (MCC).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Graduated high school in the Spring of 2021.
  • Students must have earned a minimum of sixteen (16) credit hours from Mayland.
  • Plan to seek an Associates in the Applied Engineering program with Mayland.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident or other non-eligible citizen (per Title IV guidelines), a citizen of the Freely Associated States, or a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) designee.

Fill out an application in the AwardSpring Scholarship software using the below link. Incomplete applications will result in automatic rejection. Only complete applications will be reviewed. Application deadline: 11:59 p.m. April 21, 2023.

Workforce Scholarships

Community Scholarships are awarded to Mayland Community College students through separate applications and often have specific criteria and requirements such as additional essays. Organizations may choose to set up a scholarship as a community scholarship or as an MCC Foundation scholarship.
