Space Camp: A Week of Adventure (15 Hours) Ages 7-15.
In this camp, Jr Astronauts will craft upcycled rocket filed jet packs, cardboard space shuttles and space helmets and explore the solar system in the Arthur Planetarium & ESP Classroom. Jr Astronauts will watch kid friendly STEAM programming in the dome and learn about space travel, the moon, planets, and the cosmos. Finally, Jr. Astronauts will participate in “astronaut training” by learning to garden in an “extra-terrestrial styled environment” and eat astronaut ice cream!

In this session, we learn about what’s in the water! Learn about the microorganisms living in 3 types of water at the Earth to a Sky Park. Learn to use a microscope in this hands-on lab-based activity!

Houston—We’re Ready to Launch (2.5 Hours) Ages 7-15.
Jr astronauts learn to assemble a rocket. Then learn all about rocket launches inside the Arthur Planetarium. Learn how organizations like SPACEX and NASA are progressing space flight. End the afternoon with an epic launch party at the Earth to Sky Park lawn.

Nature Walk and Talk (2 Hours) Ages 7-15.
Learn about the minerals in our ground such as mica and quartz, spot the difference between types of trees, identify mushrooms, and possibly meet some forest creatures along the way! In this session we learn about the natural world around us and how we can identify objects found in the forest. Come home with your own nature journal and new knowledge of the woods.
