NEW FOR SPRING 2024: Hybrid Evening Class Format!  

The Practical Nursing program at Mayland is a comprehensive, hybrid evening program tailored for the modern, busy student. This accredited one-year program blends rigorous hybrid instruction with hands-on clinical experience, providing flexibility to manage other commitments while preparing for a rewarding career in nursing. Courses include pharmacology and specialty areas of nursing like obstetrics and mental health.  

Beyond the foundational knowledge, the program places strong emphasis on critical thinking, communication, and ethical decision-making, ensuring our graduates emerge as well-rounded professionals. Students will engage with cutting-edge healthcare technology, preparing them for the dynamic future of the field.  

Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), an essential step towards becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Our program is more than an education; it's a springboard to a fulfilling career dedicated to helping others and contributing to community health.
