Nurse Aide

A nurse aide is an important role in health care that is in high demand. Nurse aides work under the supervision of nurses to provide personal care to patients. Nurse aides can work in a variety of settings including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and in-home care.

Admissions Requirements for Nurse Aide Certificate Program

Students must:

  1. Have a high school diploma or state approved equivalency.
  2. Complete MCC General Admissions Application for admission.
  3. Submit a high school transcript or a state-approved equivalency education certification.
  4. At the first class meeting, students must bring their Social Security Card and a photo ID (driver’s license or passport); AND
  5. Students must have a TB Skin Test within the past twelve (12) months and bring results to the first class meeting.
  6. Other requirements such as criminal background checks, drug screens, physicals, or immunizations which may be dictated by the clinical agencies, may be required.
