Being born and raised in Avery County, my roots run deep with the community surrounding MCC. When I graduated from Avery High School, I knew I wanted to stay local. The best place to begin was Mayland, where I completed my associate degree then transferred to complete my Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Lees-McRae College. I continued my education at Columbia Southern University where I obtained my MBA with a concentration in Finance. Coming back to MCC as Business Administration Program Coordinator is an amazing ‘full circle’ moment. Knowing Mayland is where my career started, it is incredibly rewarding educating students on business principles that assist them in their career growth.
