Train for Work Scholarships

Scholarships Available:

David & Yvonne Evans Scholarship: 

Available to Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey County residents. Continuing Education students may receive up to a $180 reimbursement on cost of registration, plus assistance with other costs when appropriate. Application is available online.  

Golden LEAF Foundation: 

Available to Continuing Education occupational education students. Continuing education students may receive up to a $250 reimbursement. Golden LEAF Scholarships can be used to assist with tuition, fees, books, supplies, credentialing exams, transportation, and childcare.

State Employee’s Credit Union

Available to North Carolina Residents. Continuing Education Students may receive assistance with costs of certification classes. Scholarship includes tuition, books, testing, materials, or other associated costs.

Gene Haas Foundation:

Available to Continuing Education students enrolling in Advanced Manufacturing related courses. Students may receive assistance with registration fees, books, supplies, or other associated costs as appropriate. Application is available online.
