Pharmacy Technician (102 Hours)


Prepare today for a career as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or retail setting. The salary outlook for this field of employment is up to $38,560.00. You will gain skills and knowledge to qualify for an entry-level position and be prepared to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) for national certification. This class will involve 50 hours of in-class coursework and 100 hours of experience in a Pharmacy setting.

  • Drug forms and administration
  • Prescription reading and interpretation
  • Retail and hospital pharmacy practices
  • Compounding, medication safety, and dispensing
  • Preparation of sterile IV products
  • Customer service and human relations
  • Prescription drug uses, dosages, side effects, and precautions

Admission Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Reading and math test with scores of at least 10th-grade level
  • Government-issued ID card
  • Social security card
  • The physical and emotional ability to carry out pharmacy activities including lifting, stretching, and standing for long periods of time
