Topics will include qualities of a successful broadcaster, roles explained including play by play, color commentary, sideline reporting, talk shows and more. John will also teach you how to build your career and how to stand out with demo tapes and resumes. Class will also include guest speakers: David Cockfield the Director of Production at The University Of South Carolina, Matt Stradley Play-by-play analyst for UNCA, Furman, Asheville Tourist, and Asheville City Pro Soccer Club and Byron Abt Director of Production at Furman University.

John has had the opportunity to share his love of basketball and the message of God with young people throughout Western North Carolina. As a member of Crossfire Ministries, he travels both locally and internationally teaching basketball skills, while sharing the message of perseverance, overcoming obstacles, enthusiasm, and determination. This Asheville resident spent Four years playing basketball for the renowned Harlem Globetrotters, but now spends his time mentoring and teaching more than 150 children from six different Western North Carolina counties through the JWB Elite Training program. John is currently an analyst/commentator for ESPN covering college games in the Big South, SOCON, and SEC conferences where he stays close to the game that he loves. John is a 2011 graduate from the University of North Carolina-Asheville and is married to Whitney Williams. They have 2 daughters, Selah Wren and Israel Wrae.
