Prepare for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/Drone flight certification. Topics include flight theory, flight operations, and flight training utilizing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot. Learn about the regulations, weather, airspace, human factors, and UAS performance. Upon completion, students will be prepared to sit for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Test and NCDOT UAS Operator Permit. This course is recommended for anyone interested in using drones to take commercial photos or videos, search and rescue, damage assessment, and more.

Fee waived for firefighters & law enforcement.
