“Everyday” Myths and Theories (6 Hours) New!

Test everyday theories.  During this class generally accepted “knowledge” of history and science will be compared with verifiable facts.  Topics will include the historical view of the Earth and universe, the most deadly wars of the US and why we got involved, how Edison impacted our electrical grid, controversial medical and environmental studies, their meaning and consequence, whether the weather is getting more extreme, and if so, what are the causes.  Students are encouraged to present their own “myths” and class discussion is encouraged.
