Astronomy: Observations and Theories of the Universe (6 Hours)

Astronomy: Observations and Theories of the Universe (6 Hours)

The Big Bang. Distant galaxies. The speed of light. Bending of space. E = mc^2. Mysteries of time, motion, and gravity. Scientists rarely believe what they are told—the evidence has to add up and make sense. In this class, you critically examine some of the observations and other evidence that support (or challenge!) current and past theories about the Universe. Come with healthy skepticism, curiosity about beautiful questions, and a readiness to observe the night sky. Discover your inner scientist.  The class will be held at the Earth to Sky Park and the Bare Dark Sky Observatory.
