Basic Pistol Shooting (8 Hours)

This National Rifle Association class is designed for women and will teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a handgun safely. This course includes both classroom instruction and range time. Approximately 35% of the course is “hands-on” instruction. Both experienced and inexperienced shooters will benefit from this course. Topics will include NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; cleaning methods; responsibilities of carrying a concealed handgun. There will also be instruction on the statutory laws of North Carolina and the obligations of the concealed handgun carrier. This class qualifies the student for the North Carolina concealed carry certificate. Class limited to 25.
