Join the local Naturalist & Birding Guide Paul Laurent to see what life is like for our feathered friends. With Spring Migration starting to pick up there are tens of thousands of birds returning to the Blue Ridge Mountains for the breeding season; and many more are passing through on their way to breeding grounds farther north. We will discuss how birds find a mate, build nests, raise babies, find food, and much more on the first day of class. The next morning, we will venture to a nearby park to see what birds we can see and see what those birds are doing. We will watch for breeding behaviors, foraging techniques, predator avoidance and more. This class is great for both beginning birders and more experienced bird watchers who want to add to their knowledge of bird life and behavior.
