Using Stock Charts for Trading and Investing (3 Hours)

Understanding stock charts can be a major tool for improving your investment performance. Charts are a big help in both the “buy” and “sell” decisions and can improve both growth and risk reduction. Market actions are most helpful with when to play offense and defense. This approach is commonly referred to as “technical analysis”. Topics for discussion will be fundamental analysis vs technical analysis, support and resistance lines, moving averages, understanding momentum and relative strength, trendlines, and more plus how to implement technical analysis in your portfolios. The goal is to help develop a disciplined approach that is simple and understandable to improve investing performance. Please bring a laptop or pad to class as this will be a very active, “hands-on” session. The instructor, Bill Bowman, had a 37 year career as an investment advisor/portfolio manager and actively trades his own accounts.
