Quilting (24 Hours)

Quilting holds a unique place in American history. Some used quilts to tell stories and provide a social outlet. Dive into the history of quilting and learn the practical application of quilting today. Students will make their own quilt from scratch by learning to choose fabric, needles, and supplies. There will also be a brief discussion on marketing your product for those looking for more than a hobby. The Rail Fence Quilt pictured above will be the pattern of the student project. Students are asked to bring their own sewing machines, but a few will be available for loan. A supply list will be provided.
