Introduction to Yoga (2 Hours)

For those new to Yoga, a workshop designed to offer a very brief overview of the practice, including a little history, the purpose and benefits of a practice, some actual practice with fundamental postures, a look at some references, and some suggestions for creating a personal practice, as well as what to expect in a yoga class. Upon completion of this introduction, the Gentle Yoga class would be an ideal next step. Workshop will begin on time. Please show up a few minutes early to set up your mat and props, which will be provided. Wear clothing suitable for a workout, flexible fabrics, elastic waistbands, etc. Bare feet or grippy socks are suggested.
