Introduction to electrical wiring will introduce students of all different skill levels to basic electrical theory including Ohm's law, where electricity come from to power our homes and businesses, different types of circuits and formulas, magnetism and electromagnetism, practical applications of electricity and how it relates to modern electrical wiring. It will also cover how to use the National Electrical Code Book. Students will learn the basics of wiring a house including receptacles, single pole switches, 3-way and 4-way switches, circuit breakers and panels, receptable and switch spacing, circuit ampacities.
