The Granny Square is the perfect place to begin any crochet journey. Learning the very basics of crochet and pattern reading, the students in this course will make a small bag out of their squares, but the possibilities are endless with this technique. Granny Squares are used to make clothes such as hats, scarfs, pants, and sweaters, plus they can be used for larger projects such as blankets or afghans. The students will learn how to crochet basic stitches and read both symbol and written patterns. The end project will fill every heart with pride.
