Class B CDL Truck Driver Training (160 Hours)

Get ready for a career in commercial driving! This course combines classroom instruction, range practice, and on-the-road training to teach safe driving, vehicle inspections, backing maneuvers, and real-world driving skills. At the end of training, students take the Class B-CDL exam with our third-party testers and are ready to hit the road as professional drivers.

Mandatory Orientation 3/2/26 at 10 am. Registration 3/9/26 at 10 am.

*At the conclusion of class, a third-party tester will administer the Class B CDL exam in Hudson, NC.

*Additional costs include DOT Physical, Pre-Employment DOT Drug Screen, Class B Permit, CDL License, and Endorsements. (These fees are not paid to the college)

Admissions Requirements:

  • Attend orientation
  • Understand, speak, read, and write English proficiently as per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association Regulations
  • Be at least 18 years of age (21 for interstate commerce or hazardous material endorsements).
  • Provide a valid NC Driver’s License
  • License cannot be suspended, disqualified, or revoked
  • Cannot hold more than one driver's license
  • Provide a valid Social Security Card
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Pass a DOT physical and drug screen (This will be scheduled by the provider after your online training and is included in your tuition.)
  • Complete Pre-Registration Packet

3/9, M, 10:00 am-12:00 pm; 3/17-4/12 online; 4/13-4/29, MTW, 8:00 am-5:30 pm, Th 8:00 am-3:30 pm
