What is Applied Engineering Technology?

The Applied Engineering Technology program prepares students to use basic engineering principles and cutting-edge computer technology to solve technical problems in various types of industry and advanced manufacturing. The curriculum includes courses in 3D design and drafting, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, computerized (CNC) machining, robotics, and mechatronics. Graduates qualify for employment in a wide range of positions in research and development, advanced manufacturing, technical sales, design, inspection, equipment engineering and equipment maintenance.
