Elizabeth HardyAbout Elizabeth Hardy

Elizabeth Baird Hardy is a senior instructor of English at Mayland Community College and the recipient of the 2006 Excellence in Teaching Award from the college. She is the author of Milton, Spenser, and the Chronicles of Narnia: Literary Sources for the C.S. Lewis Novels (McFarland 2007) and has contributed articles to collections and conferences on Lewis, J.K. Rowling, the American Civil War, and Appalachian Culture. Two of her articles will be featured in Twilight and History: Frozen in Time (Blackwell 2010). Hardy is also an Appalachian storyteller and frequent collaborator with her husband, award-winning author and historian Michael C. Hardy. They live on a foggy mountain in Western North Carolina with their two children, Nathaniel and Isabella.
