Dear Transfer Student:

Welcome to Mayland Community College! We are excited to have the opportunity to assist you in achieving your academic goals.

At Mayland, there are a variety of ways to gain assistance as you prepare to enter the college transfer program. The information you find here will be a tremendous help to you in identifying the steps you will need to take to be successful in completing your education. In the beginning, you will need to decide which colleges you are thinking about attending and subsequently, which classes you will need to take.  You will also need to establish educational/career goals and prepare yourself for the transition. Assistance in all of these areas is available through academic advisors, the Counseling Center, the SOAR Program, and the College Transfer Handbook.

Keep in mind however, that it is YOUR responsibility to seek out the assistance you need.  This Website will be an excellent guide for you, but only if you follow through on the suggested steps.  While the faculty and staff are here to help you every step of the way, it is you who is in charge of your own academic plan. So read on, discuss your plans with a counselor or advisor, and enjoy the process of building your education!
