Getting the tassel...Steps to graduation
Graduation is a joyous celebration of completion and of the future. However, there are some steps to be completed before you can receive your diploma from Mayland Community College
Applying for graduation
Two steps are involved in the application process for graduation:
- Submit a graduation application. Pick up a graduation packet from the Registrar's Office in Room 167 on the first floor of Gwaltney Hall [map]. In addition to the application, there is an exit survey about MCC programs and services. When you complete and return the application, you will receive information about cap and gown rental, diplomas, information about the ceremony, and more.
- Diploma Eligibility Check. The Registrar's Office staff will check candidates for graduation to make sure that they have met the requirements for their program of study. If you do not meet program requirements, you will not receive a diploma until they are met.
