Registrar's Office
Frequently Asked
Questions (FAQs)
While you are always welcome to stop by the Registrar's Office to ask a question or get clarification on an issue, here are answers to questions we are commonly asked:
How do I obtain a copy of my transcript from Mayland?
The Registrar’s Office must receive a written request from the student. The request must have the student’s name (if different, while in attendance, this must be listed also), social security number, where the transcript should be released to. You may mail the request or fax the request to the Registrar’s Office.
For your convenience we have developed a downloadable Transcript Request Form. It is in the Adobe Acrobat PDF format (requires the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded here).
You can print out the form and fill it in by hand, or you can fill out the form inside the Adobe Acrobat Reader. Simply click in the areas adjacent to what you must enter and you can type in your response or make a selection from a list. You must completely fill the form out and print it, as you cannot save the information you enter inside the form. Then, just sign it and send it in, along with a stamped envelope addressed to the agency who needs to receive the transcript.
You can access the Transcript Request form here.
How do I apply for graduation?
You will need to submit a Graduation Application to Student Development. After that is submitted back to Student Development, you will receive other information about cap and gown rental, diplomas, ceremony information and more.

When will I receive my grades for the semester?
Grades should be mailed to the student’s address (that we have on our database) within three (3) days after the last official day of class according to the academic calendar.
