Admissions Information

Visit the MCC Medical Assisting Website here.

Medical Assistants perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to facilitate the daily functions of physicians, chiropractors, and optometrists offices. The duties of Medical Assistants vary from office to office, depending on office locations, size, and specialty. In small practices, medical assistants are usually "generalists," handling both administrative and clinical duties and reporting to an office manager or physician. Those in large practices tend to specialize in a particular area under the supervision of department administrators.

This information and more can be found at the website of the American Association of Medical Assistants.

Because of this limited enrollment, prospective students must complete an admission process to determine which students will be accepted into the program. Students who have completed the application process and meet all requirements for admission will be placed in a ranking order based on a first come, first served basis. This ranking will determine each applicant's status as either conditionally accepted or on the alternate list.
