  2. What’s the difference between a full-time and a part-time student?

To be considered a full-time student, you must register for at least 12 credit hours. If you are registered for 11 credit hours or less, you are considered to be a part-time student.

  3. Can I take classes in either the day or evening?

Most college transfer courses are offered both day and evening, but several of the technical and vocational curriculum courses are offered either during the day or the evening, but not both. For example, nursing and medical assisting courses are offered only during the day, and welding and plumbing courses are offered only in the evening. Students often take both day and evening classes. You can find the latest curriculum class schedule here.

  4. Will my courses transfer to another college?

The Associate in Arts and Associate in Science are college transfer programs that enable a student to transfer to any of the 16 public four-year institutions in North Carolina and several private institutions. There are also partnership programs with several colleges where students transfer after completing courses with Mayland.
