Computers: The Basics for Beginners
Learn how a computer works, how to use the keyboard and mouse and how to create, store and retrieve information. You will receive an overview of the Windows operating system. You will learn how to use a word processor to create and edit documents.

Welding
This course will teach welding skills necessary for student employment in the welding industry. The course includes the following topics: preparing for a welding occupation, welding metal with wire welding equipment, using tools to shape and cut metals, welding metals with shielded metal arc equipment and understanding weld tests and codes. Lecture, demonstration and practical applications are the instructional methods used in this course.

Small Engine Repair
This course is designed to provide the student with hands-on knowledge of engine rebuilding techniques to manufacturer’s specifications. The student will learn how to completely disassemble engines and check for manufacturer’s specifications and reassemble. Emphasis will be placed on the proper use of special tools and testing equipment. Upon completion students will be able to explain operating principles of engines, name major parts of engines, work safely in the shop, explain how force work and torque are related to horsepower, define horsepower, list and explain combustion chamber designs, properly run rack, time injectors, adjust values, and adjust governors.
