Career & College Promise

Career & College Promise

Career and College Promise offers North Carolina high school students a clear path to success in college or in a career.  The program offers free tuition to all students who maintain a “B” average and meet other eligibility requirements.  Through a partnership of the Department of Public Instruction, the N.C. Community College System, the University of North Carolina system and many independent colleges and universities, North Carolina is helping eligible high school students to begin earning college credit at a community college campus at no tuition cost to them or their families.

For parents of High School Juniors & Seniors-

Career & College Promise can:

  • Give your son or daughter an early start on his or her college education

  • Save your family money on tuition expenses

  • Get you started on your way to a two-year or four-year college degree while you are still enrolled in high school

  • Save you money—it’s free college tuition
