Basic Skills at the Yancey Campus

The Basic Skills Program serves Yancey County with GED, College Preparation, ESL, and Compensatory Education classes at various locations, including the Mayland Yancey Campus on Wheeler Hills Road in Newland [map].

GED studies

An “open” class, allowing each student to set his or her own attendance schedule at any time during operation hours (for example, attending for an hour or two after work as the student’s schedule allows).

College preparation
