Basic Skills at the Historic Mitchell County Courthouse

The Basic Skills Program serves the Bakersville region of Mitchell County with GED and Compensatory Education classes in the remodeled Historic Mitchell County Courthouse, located on Mitchell Avenue in downtown Bakersville [map].

GED studies

An “open” class, allowing each student to set his or her own attendance schedule at any time during operation hours (for example, attending for an hour or two after work as the student’s schedule allows).
