Students in the Associate in Arts Pre-Business Administration program at Mayland have some options in their course selections. This page outlines what is available in each category.

What the Colors Mean...

We have color-coded our classes so you can easily learn required courses and electives.

X = Required of All Majors X = Literature Elective
X = History Elective X = Natural Sciences Elective
X = Humanities/Fine Arts Elective X = Social/Behavioral Sciences Elective

Electives Groupings

Electives are grouped in the following manner

History Electives
(3 Semester Hours Credit)

Students must take a history course.

Select from:

Humanities/Fine Arts Electives
(6 Semester Hours Credit)

Select three courses from at least two of the following discipline areas: art, drama, dance, foreign languages, interdisciplinary humanities, music, philosophy, and religion.

Select from:

Literature Electives
(3 Semester Hours Credit)

Students must take at least one literature course.

Select from:

Natural Science Electives
(8 Semester Hours Credit)

Select two courses, including accompanying laboratory work, from among the biological and physical science disciplines.

Select From:

Social/Behavioral Science Electives
(9 Semester Hours Credit)

Select three courses from at least two of the following discipline areas: anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, and sociology.
