Accreditation

Mayland Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404.679.4500, at http://www.sacscoc.org for questions about the accreditation of Mayland Community College.

Normal inquiries about the College, such as admission requirements, financial aid, educational programs, etc. should be addressed directly to Mayland Community College and not to the Commission’s office.

The Commission on Colleges is to be contacted only if there is evidence that appears to support significant non-compliance with a requirement or standard.

Every ten years, member institutions are required to undergo an internal and external review in order to receive reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). As part of the reaffirmation of accreditation, the College designs and focuses a course of action to address a well-defined topic related to enhancing student learning called a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). MCC’s QEP is entitled Preparing Students to Learn Online Are You Ready?
